Mentoring and Workshop Program
Mentoring and Workshop Program
For musicians, booking agencies, venues and labels, the SANG offers a total of 18 consultations of 3 units each, which are intended to support the entry into Spatial Audio. The coaching sessions are offered by active composers, producers, promoters and technical experts of ZiMMT e.V., Spaes and MediaApes GmbH and can be attended in the production facilities and studios in Berlin, Leipzig and Neustadt as well as remotely via video call. The available expertise from various fields makes it possible to tailor the consultations precisely to the needs of the inquiries and to select suitable consultants.
The consulting program offers technical insights and an introduction to 3D audio technologies, hardware and software. Practice-oriented training phases in professional 3D audio production studios offer first hands-on experience and listening experiences on high-quality multi-channel studio monitor systems with professional support.
Kristaps Pukitis has been involved in the Latvian music and art scene for over 20 years and is well connected in Baltic music culture: he managed the venue Dirty Deal Café in Riga, organized releases and produced music himself in his studio. In mentoring he is working on a mobile Ambisonics setup for touring with 3D Audio.
Henrik Rohde is a musician and sound artist living in Leipzig and Berlin. His work includes electroacoustic compositions, band shows and performative live sets. He creates multi-layered soundscapes from field recordings, digital synthesizers and other electronic instruments. For his debut album “nowadays” he intensively explored the possibilities of mobile production, also during the mentoring at ZiMMT. The result is 7 site-specific compositions consisting of seemingly random sounds and moments of daily life.
Antje Meichsner is a Dresden-based audiovisual artist, visiting ZiMMT for the mentoring program: She transfers her noise-related ambient sound design and composition work into the three-dimensional listening space. Doing so, she questions the means of 3D audio and its immersive effect on what it tells.

Shey has participated in EPAS and participated in cross-cultural music residencies such as Nachtkultur / Нічна культура in Kiev and Cashmere Radio in Berlin. Shey lives in Berlin and hosts “d3vination” on Cashmere Radio.
In my project I want to explore possibilities to transport productions in Dolby Atmos – which I create in my studio – into a 3D audio live context. The idea is to develop technical concepts for different projects – ranging from a twelve-piece ensemble to dance productions and AV shows – that can then be transferred to different settings and enable touring with these projects.
Philipp Rumsch – composer, sound designer and producer from Leipzig – explores ways to implement Dolby Atmos productions of his studio in a 3D audio live context. During mentoring sessions at ZiMMT he wants to develop technical concepts to enable concerts and tours for quite different projects: From a twelve-piece ensemble, to dance productions, to AV shows.
Jasmin Scheuermann is a musician and sound engineer specializing in immersive audio. After her training at the Paris Conservatory of Music (CNSMDP), she worked for 7 years as a sound engineer at the Paris Philharmonic. She has experience in the spatialization of sound and works on various projects in the field of immersive audio, including Ambisonics recordings, Dolby Atmos mixdowns, binaural concerts, sound systems and immersive installations. She is currently exploring the possibilities that immersive technologies offer in the composition of music.
I have been working in the Latvian music and art scene for over 20 years. I was the head of Dirty Deal Cafe, organized artist releases and produced music in a small studio. Although I opened a studio in Liepaja in 2019, I had to close it in November 2022 due to rising rents. Now I am working on a mobile Ambisonics setup for touring and have a strong network in the Baltic music scene.

I’m Leo, 26 and I’m writing my master thesis at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences. I’ve been privately producing music in various styles for 8 years and have been working at Fraunhofer IIS for almost 2 years. My future is still open, but I’m interested in mixing/mastering engineering, advertising agencies and creating sound content out of my home studio.
During this mentoring I focus on the development of a versatile and intuitive audio spatialization control system
specifically designed for live electronic performances. By placing the control interface at the forefront, I want to
enable performers to integrate audio spatialization in various setups and collaborative contexts.
