ZiMMT (Leipzig)
– Centre for immersive Media art, Music und Technologie –
The ZiMMT is a gallery, production venue, concert hall, research laboratory and network. The ZiMMT provides an adequate stage for the many facets of media immersion and a place for creative experimentation. As one of only a few cultural institutions nationwide, the ZiMMT has an innovative 3D audio system consisting of 36 loudspeakers. Here, immersive, space-consuming concerts, exhibitions and performances can be developed and presented. In addition to the interdisciplinary exchange of artists and developers, we are particularly interested in the transfer of knowledge and workshops.

– lab for spatial aesthetics in sound Berlin –
The Lab fosters interdisciplinary collaboration among practitioners, artists, scientists, engineers, and researchers from all disciplines, including art, architecture, XR, games, music, and design, to explore the relationships between sound, space, and perception from the perspective of aesthetics. This exchange of ideas, skills, and knowledge at the intersection of science, practice, and academia aims to cultivate critical interdisciplinary reflection and advance the development and dissemination of practices at the intersection of aesthetics, space, and sound.
MediaApes (Neustadt an der Weinstraße)
As an immersive sound agency with its own label and publishing house for stereo to 360° / 3D audio, the MediaApes are dedicated to experience concepts. They create immersive experiences from conception and production to final playout. As an interface between industry, research and development, they operate in a creative network with interdisciplinary partners. With their own sound studio, specialized among other things in object-based productions, they work with loudspeaker systems and binaural. The focus is on audio experiences for virtual, augmented and extended reality environments, as well as the mediation and perception of media in combination with immersive sound.
